The challenge:
NOT NIBBLING or sneaking a single bite of delicious-smelling deep fried corndogs and Pringle Chips that the kids had for lunch. (I know, really healthy, right?)
The cure:
DISTRACTING MYSELF by singing a song and the only song that popped into my head was "That Thing You Do!" and I proceeded to sing it while I served lunch.
It totally worked. My mind was elsewhere and I didn't take a bite!
But if you'll excuse me, I have to go watch the movie now.
Hehe! You're so funny. I've heard of people chewing gum, etc. so they won't nibble but this is the best idea since it won't cost you anything but a couple hours when you have to watch the movie! :D

I LOVE it! I totally forgot about that song. I don't know if I remembe the movie, but it brings me back to highschool! I want to at least hear to song and maybe see the movie too. Movie party?
ReplyDeleteYou are so great! BE strong..overcome the weakness. I am finding that that is so true in so many things. Today I was running and I was thinking the same thing of playing the mind game. I am stronger than the pain. Or with any kind of temptation...I am stronger than the temptation. You are great!
